Are you a seasoned construction professional with a talent for on-site coordination? We're seeking a Construction Superintendent to lead all phases of construction projects, ensuring adherence to specifications, schedules, and budgets. The ideal candidate will excel in scheduling, inspections, quality control, and maintaining job site safety.

Essential Functions:

  • Schedule 20+ subcontractors, consultants, and vendors to ensure timely project completion.
  • Ensure subcontractors adhere to their scope of work, rectifying deficiencies promptly.
  • Lead subcontractor and preconstruction meetings to coordinate work effectively.
  • Conduct thorough quality control checks on all work performed.
  • Identify and communicate conflicts and issues to the project team for resolution.
  • Facilitate communication within the project team regarding issues, material submittals, and RFIs.
  • Maintain a detailed daily log of job site activities through daily reporting software.
  • Ensure compliance with local township requirements.
  • Maintain a clean and organized job site environment.
  • Enforce OSHA and Speedwell Safety Standards among all subcontractors.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position manages daily job site activities and personnel, potentially as a coach or resource for other company positions.

Work Environment:

The employee will be on active outdoor or indoor job sites, encountering varying environmental conditions and construction equipment. Personal Protective Equipment must be utilized as necessary.

Physical Demands:

The Construction Superintendent must be physically capable of visiting job sites, performing various tasks, and lifting up to 100 lbs. Office equipment usage may also be required.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time, exempt position, with work hours typically Monday-Friday, totaling 50 hours per week. Evening or weekend work may be necessary.

Travel:

Travel to job sites and occasional educational training may be required.

Required Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 5+ years of construction industry experience

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years in jobsite management
  • OSHA 10-hour certification (30-hour preferred)
  • Basic IT understanding
  • CPR/First Aid certification
  • Experience with various construction trades
  • Commercial or industrial construction experience

Work Authorization/Clearances:

Candidates must pass pre-employment screenings, including drug tests, background checks, and Motor Vehicle Record reviews, and possess a valid driver's license.
